HALKIDIKI
Kassandra , the first peninsula of Halkidiki (first leg as called by the Greeks), is the most developed tourist area of the three peninsulas. With large sandy beaches and the crystal blue sea, Kassandra is one of the most popular tourist destination .
At Kassndra you will find plenty of entertainment centers such as bars and clubs which are very famous during the summer period. You can also find every kind of recreation center like water sports and other activities . |

Sithonia is the second peninsula of Halkidiki. The middle prong is the perfect harmony of mountain and sea. Pine forests and clean crystal waters in combination with deserted or very crowded large sandy beaches attract every kind of tourist .
Sithonia also provides a variety of recreation activities such as trekking, diving, fishing, mountain bike, golf, tennis, water sports and horseback riding . The nightlife in Sithonia is associated mostly with the resorts but also there are many exotic beach bars located at magnificent bays.

The Mount Athos (Agion Oros) is the third peninsula of Halkidiki. Athos is inhabited solely by monks and hermits who still keep their religious traditional life since the Byzantine period .
It is a place allowed only for men since the 10th century when decreed that "no smooth faced person" is permitted to violate its sanctity. Impressive monasteries complemented by beautiful natural landscapes creates a unforgetable mystical atmosphere for any visitor. |

You can access the Mount Athos from Ouranoupolis ( City of Heaven in Greek ) which is also the last place of the peninsula women can visit.
